Dr. <strong>Piotr Miodunka has been awarded the degree of doktor habilitowany (habilitation) in the humanities, specializing in history.<\/strong><\/p><p>The basis for the habilitation proceedings was his monograph titled <strong>\u201eCh\u0142opi po\u0142udniowej Ma\u0142opolski wobec kryzys\u00f3w \u017cywno\u015bciowych od XVII do po\u0142owy XIX wieku&#8221; [Peasants of Southern Lesser Poland and Food Crises from the 17th to the Mid-19th Century]<\/strong> (Krak\u00f3w, 2024).\u00a0 \u00a0 The habilitation colloquium took place on September 8, 2026, at the Jagiellonian University, and on September 18, the Jagiellonian University\u2019s Council for the Discipline of History adopted a resolution conferring the habilitation degree. Both the monograph and the candidate&#8217;s overall academic achievements received high praise and excellent evaluations from the reviewers and members of the habilitation committee.<\/p><p>Following these developments, the Rector of KUE, Dr. hab. Bernard Zi\u0119bicki, Prof. KUE, decided to promote Dr. hab. Piotr Miodunka to the position of University Professor.<\/p><p><strong>We extend our sincere congratulations to Dr. hab.
