University (where he also completed his Master\u2019s and doctoral studies). He is an associate professor at the Department of Economic and Social History \/ UNESCO Chair for Heritage and Urban Studies at the Krakow University of Economics. His research focuses on the social and economic history of Poland from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, as well as historical demography, urban history and environmental history. He is the author of studies on individual cities (Krak\u00f3w, Mielec, Pilzno, Wojnicz) and the monograph: <\/span><i style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Spo\u0142eczno\u015b\u0107 ma\u0142ych miast po\u0142udniowej Ma\u0142opolski od ko\u0144ca XVI do ko\u0144ca XVIII wieku<\/i><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"> (2021). He is a co-author of <\/span><i style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Krakow: An Ecobiography <\/i><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">(Polish title: <\/span><i style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Ekobiografia Krakowa<\/i><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">), a pioneering work in Poland regarding environmental history. Recently, he has focused on crises in early modern Poland\u2014particularly famines\u2014a subject addressed in his habilitation publication: <\/span><i style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\">Ch\u0142opi po\u0142udniowej Ma\u0142opolski wobec kryzys\u00f3w \u017cywno\u015bciowych od XVII do po\u0142owy XIX wieku<\/i><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0px\"> (2024).
