Master in Spatial Management program

About the program

Spatial Management offered at KUE is an interdisciplinary second-cycle degree, delivered over 3 semesters in accordance with Polish regulations for Master degrees. The entire degree is delivered in Polish.

The program combines elements of economics, geography, urban planning, architecture, sociology, spatial planning and public policy, which allows students to gain comprehensive knowledge in the field of spatial development. The main goal of the MA in Spatial Management is to study and shape spatial development processes, i.e. the way in which cities, regions, countries function and develop. Studies on KUE degrees are focused on the economic aspects of spatial management and space management, and graduates of this program are highly valued on the labor market.

Employment opportunities

Graduates of BEng in Spatial Management can find employment in various institutions and companies related to spatial planning, public investments, real estate market, regional policy and land development. They can work in public administration at various levels (e.g. in city and commune offices, provinces, ministries), as well as in consulting and consulting companies providing services in the field of spatial and investment planning. A scientific career is also possible.

Program strengths

Core strengths center on interdisciplinarity, practicality, flexibility, development and career opportunities.

The program prepares specialists in shaping the spatial organization of socio-economic development, including:

  1. Design of public spaces,
  2. Constructing strategic development programming in territorial units,
  3. Resource management and spatial development forecasting based on specialized models,
  4. Ise of IT tools in the field of design, GIS analysis and modeling of economic processes.

Currently offered specialties

At the second-cycle, emphasis is placed on improving the knowledge and skills of managing planning teams and preparing economic and spatial analyzes, which are the basis for making the right spatial development decisions. Graduates after the second-cycle degree can also undertake doctoral studies in the discipline.
